Mobile Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Identify work needed and complete all aspects of the tire and trailer service.
• Ensure detailed information is captured and keyed into computer systems and relayed to the shop or service provider as needed.
• Follow our tire program on each unit and identify needs.
• Follow all TIA rules and regulations for your safety and the safety of the driver.
• Resolve issues to take care of drivers and customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair fleet of dry van and flatbed semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance including preventative, warrantable, and accident-related repairs.
• Inspect suspension, wheel-end, braking, and structural components to match company and DOT specifications.
• Test equipment for performance issues.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, punctuality, and eagerness to learn.
• Follow prescribed procedures and protocols at all times.
• Identify areas of opportunity and provide feedback to management.
• Identify best practices and share them across the team.
• Support an atmosphere of professionalism, always.

Requirements

• Pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Pass DOT physical.
• High school Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License / CDL Driver's License is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular full attendance required for assigned shift.
• Positive team member attitude.
• Ability to understand and implement instructions, guidelines, and pertinent information necessary to complete daily tasks and assignments.
• Must be able to move, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. with regularity and up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
