Mobile Service Technician
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
- Reports any additional work required on equipment to ensure proper operation and safety
- Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submission of information
- Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required
- Handles customer issues objectively and tactfully
- Answers service phone calls and assists the customer accordingly
- Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Participates in John Deere training courses and other continuing education classes, as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience performing mechanical service repairs required
- Located in the Kinsley or Lewis area, highly preferred
- Ag Tech Graduate or 2 years of John Deera experience preferred
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment, following Technical Manual procedures
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
- Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes
- Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR™ or other computer-based diagnostic repair tools preferred
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
Qualifications
