Mobile Service Technician

Bowen Scarff Ford has been operating for over 60 years in the Puget Sound area. This is a full-time opportunity to join a family-owned and operated Ford store with a strong reputation for quality service.

Responsibilities

• Travel to remote locations to perform repair diagnostics and maintenance tasks
• Prepare estimates on-site and sell necessary items to customers
• Test systems and components for security and functionality
• Isolate and diagnose problematic sub-systems or components
• Drive vehicles for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Replace worn parts before breakdown or damage occurs
• Use power tools, machine tools, and hand tools to perform various tasks
• Work directly with vehicle owners and customers in the field
• Represent both the store and the Ford brand
• Adhere to a reliable work schedule

Requirements

• 2+ years of automotive experience
• Previous experience in mobile service a plus
• Ability to identify problems quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles and component/system identification
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer input, and mathematical skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Technical or Applied Sciences degree preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
• Self-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer program operational skills
• Positive, friendly attitude required
