Mobile Phlebotomist - Houston, TX (Temporary, Full-Time)

About the Role

This is a temporary, full-time position for nurses, phlebotomists, or medical assistants. As a Sprinter, you'll provide a diverse array of preventative care and diagnostic services to patients in the comfort of their homes. Trainings will be offered for services such as capturing diabetic retina images, performing ECGs, recording using digital stethoscopes, and more.

A day in the life of a Sprinter includes:

• Ensuring you have all necessary supplies and PPE for the day’s patients.
• Using modern technology to access your schedule and commute to patient homes.
• Building meaningful connections with a diverse range of patients while performing services such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, diabetic foot screenings, retina exams, ECGs, and more.
• Ensuring patient comfort and proper labeling/coordination of sample collection.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, accountability, confidentiality, care, and compassion.
• Work in a revolutionary environment that may require last-minute problem-solving and creative thinking.
• Use mobile devices for charting and HIPAA-secure messaging apps for care coordination.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Navigate and access patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

• Previous experience in venipuncture.
• Dependability, professionalism, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
• Interest in learning and advancing your skill set.
• Reliable transportation (you will use your own vehicle to travel to patient homes).
• Pass a national background check, DMV check, and valid clinical license search.

Qualifications

• State-required licensure and/or proof of training.
• National certification for applicants in states without state-level licensure requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Proof of completion of course/program or certification based on licensure level.
• Valid Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance.
• Proof of vaccination or immunity for:
  • Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B series
  • Varicella
  • TB test (within the past year)
  • Influenza (annual or signed exemption)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (TDaP - within past 10 years)
