About the role
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Mobile Operating Engineer to maintain and operate building systems across multiple client sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond to service calls and work orders in a timely manner.
- Operate and monitor building automation systems (BAS) to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in emergency response situations, such as power outages or equipment failures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building operations, maintenance, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between client sites.
- EPA Universal Certification (Type I, II, III) for HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Pay
$29.75 - $35.00 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements.
