Mobile Operating Engineer

About the role

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Mobile Operating Engineer to maintain and operate building systems across multiple client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to service calls and work orders in a timely manner.
• Operate and monitor building automation systems (BAS) to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in emergency response situations, such as power outages or equipment failures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building operations, maintenance, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between client sites.
• EPA Universal Certification (Type I, II, III) for HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Pay

$29.75 - $35.00 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements.
