Mobile Mental Health Clinician

Responsibilities

• Respond to mental health crises and provide immediate assessment, support, and intervention.
• Deliver care with empathy and professionalism.
• Provide clinical triage and assessment of all emergency, urgent, and routine calls.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, social services, law enforcement, and community resources to coordinate care.
• Coordinate outreach services, service planning, follow-up support, and administrative backup as needed and clinically appropriate.
• Work in compliance with MMHT, agency, and regulatory procedural guidelines.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health needs in the community.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
• Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and healthcare system.
• Coordinate follow-up responses to ensure stabilization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility with hours as may require some evenings and weekends.
• Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus.

Education and Experience

• Master’s Degree AND NYS Licensure in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience preferably with individuals with mental health diagnoses.

Physical Characteristics

• Capable of sitting or standing in front of a computer for long periods.
• Able to work in an open space floor plan.
• Capable of moving throughout the workday and/or meeting individuals where they are at in the community.
• Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet.
• Able to move in tight spaces.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25+ pounds.

Location and Hours

Location: Goshen, NY
Hours: 40 weekly

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $75,000
Benefits: Commensurate with experience
