About the role

This position is a dual role serving as the mobile mammo coordinator along with assisting the clinical team during biopsy procedures. You will communicate and coordinate with the community and business partners to assure successful mobile events. Knowledge and experience with Excel and Word, along with excellent communication both verbally and via email, are needed. Proficient organizational skills and efficiency with daily tasks are essential.

The Radiology Tech Aide duties include providing support to clinicians in the preparation, performance, and post-procedural work of patient care, ensuring rooms are appropriately stocked and cleaned, setting up supplies for procedures, greeting patients, and assisting patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist technologists in the performance of procedures (100% of the role).
  • Greeting/Exiting Patients: Exhibit excellent communication to both clinicians and patients by greeting patients, providing appropriate explanations within scope, and elevating patient questions/concerns where appropriate. Provide effective hand-off to clinicians. Support patient care and throughput by offering directional assistance and patient transportation as needed (wheelchair or cart).
  • Department/Room Preparation: Routinely assess par levels of supplies and stock department(s) to ensure adequate supply levels at all times. Support department cleanliness by ensuring linens are available and each room is appropriately cleaned and prepared for patient care.
  • Clinical Support: Provide telemetry support as needed. Routinely assess patient needs to ensure all patient needs/status changes are communicated in a professional and timely manner to the clinician in charge.

As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (Required).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Red Cross.
  • Six months to one year of experience in a position with public contact.

Skills

  • Strong and appropriate communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Schedule

  • Day shift.
  • Scheduled weekly hours as needed.
