Summary: The HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, repair, and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with applicable standards. This role requires technical expertise, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Job Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repairs to HVAC systems and associated equipment, including chillers, air handling units, condensers, exhaust fans, boilers, and hot water pumps. Execute equipment maintenance including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain HVAC systems at optimum performance levels. Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment. Knowledge of and ability to manage Building Automation / Control Systems to ensure effective / efficient operations within the HVAC systems that this role will support. Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace. Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure excellent execution of maintenance work. Participation also required in an On-Call rotation program for the region.
