Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Diesel & Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Folcroft, NJ. Coverage includes sites in Runnemede, Wilmington, and the Philadelphia metro area, with opportunities for overtime.
Pay & Schedule
$40.00 - $48.00/hour (based on experience), paid weekly every Friday.
- Tuesday–Friday: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium-duty fleet vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience performing diesel and automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
Working Conditions
This role involves working in a mobile, outside, and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Essential job functions include:
- Frequent movement: standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
- Lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces
- Regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment
- Working at heights using ladders or elevated platforms
- Performing duties in various weather conditions
- Sufficient vision and hearing to safely navigate the workspace
