Mobile Fleet Technician/Mechanic

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Diesel & Automotive Technician/Mechanic in Providence, RI. The position offers competitive pay ($38.00 - $44.00/hr), weekly pay, full benefits starting within 30 days, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations

Requirements

• 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing diesel and automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
