Mobile & Extension Engineer

Why This Role Exists

The iPhone is the largest unexploited surface for shopping verification. Most shopping occurs in Safari and Apple Wallet, yet we own neither. This role builds the Safari extension that surfaces a verified code at checkout inside iOS Safari, and the Apple Wallet pass that keeps a claimed code in the shopper's pocket until needed. The extension must be fast and trustworthy, as a verified code arriving too late or being unreliable is useless.

You Will Own

• The Safari extension, from first WebKit port to App Store listing
• Agents who write code alongside you, with full control over architecture, verdicts, and quality standards
• Apple Wallet passes, including signing, updates, expiry, and the moment a shopper pulls one out at the register
• The checkout moment, ensuring speed, correctness, and trust
• The sensor loop, sending data back to the verification fleet and the interface between real checkout data and the truth engine
• Your seat, defined by a clear metric proving the extension works and a seat charter

Who You Are

• Able to reverse-engineer complex systems without documentation
• Familiar with Swift, WebKit, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Experience shipping software on real iPhones, including apps in the store and browser extensions
• Comfortable with both browser and native development
• Willing to take ownership of the entire checkout process and be measured on what ships

Compensation & Ownership

• Total first-year compensation: $375,000 - $450,000 (base + equity + profit sharing)
• Base: $250,000 - $300,000 (top of market)
• Profit Interest Units (PIUs): Class B Membership Interests at a $0 strike, real ownership from day one, capital-gains treatment; annual pro-rata profit sharing from free cash flow; annual tender liquidity; 100% family premium coverage; effectively unlimited token budget, steered by ROI, never capped
• Location: Santa Monica, Los Angeles - in-person, five days a week
