Mobile Equipment Operator I

About the Role

The Mobile Equipment Operator I is responsible for transporting materials within a quarry, including operating various mobile equipment such as haul trucks, front end loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators, fuel trucks, dredges, and skid steer loaders.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect equipment, report issues, and perform maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment through regular cleanup activities.
• Accurately count and document material movements, communicate safety, maintenance, and production needs.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a safety-oriented culture.
• Assist team members and support plant operations when required.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write; high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting heavy equipment; quarry experience is a plus.
• Capable of performing physical tasks in various weather conditions.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work in a team, follow safety protocols, and wear PPE, including respirators if necessary.

Schedule

The role involves shift work, overtime, and working on short notice.
