Responsibilities

  • Maintain mobile equipment, cranes, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, fluid pumping systems and welding principles/rigging
  • Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed
  • Service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment
  • Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components
  • Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage
  • Work in various types of weather conditions which include extreme heat and cold
  • Conserve maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process
  • Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow safety regulations
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment maintenance mechanic experience
  • Experience with basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, mobile equipment, and vehicles (number of years up to location preference)
  • Experience with a wide variety of tools related to mechanics/hydraulics
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, electrical, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, fluid pumping systems, and heat transfer
  • Ability to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
