Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities to achieve efficient operation and maximize equipment life expectancy. Ensures equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient, safe manner and minimizes downtime by anticipating necessary repairs. Maintains records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas of assigned properties, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds.
- Perform facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations.
- Respond effectively to all emergencies.
- Prepare and submit summary reports to management, listing conditions found and recommending actions.
- Study and become familiar with building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building-related equipment.
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure safety in work areas.
- Recognize and propose methods to eliminate safety hazards.
- Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
- Support after-hours building-related activities as required.
- Attend periodic training seminars.
- Perform other assigned operational tasks typical of the Mobile Engineer role.
Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Universal CFC recovery certification.
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment repair, maintenance, and system design.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb ladders up to 30 ft.
- On-call duties and overtime as required.
- Pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process.
