As a Mobile Engineer at CBRE, you will perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, focusing on support, maintenance, and repairs of equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems to ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed for repairs, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the rated life of building machinery and systems; handle repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
- Conduct inspections of building and industrial systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities and meets environmental conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share expertise within your job discipline while collaborating across multiple disciplines.
- Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE’s RISE values, and work to build consensus and agreement among teams.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies, and explain complex or sensitive information effectively.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma, or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license required; EPA Universal certification is highly preferred.
- Meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Teams, and experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Advanced math skills, capable of computing percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
