Mobile Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Travelling Fleet Technician/Mechanic with Tractor‑Trailer experience to join the team in Forest Park, GA. Experience creating repair orders and coordinating schedules with drivers and managers is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Tractor‑Trailer fleet vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations

Requirements

• 5+ years’ hands‑on experience performing Tractor‑Trailer maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, sitting, lifting heavy objects, accessing tight or confined spaces, working at heights, grasping/reaching/handling tools, working in various weather conditions, sufficient vision and hearing to safely navigate workspace)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre‑employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Pay

Pay $35.00 - $42.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (must be flexible due to travel); weekly pay every Friday.
