GTC builds the team with the best employees and we’re hiring Mobile/Field Service Diesel Technicians for the Ridgefield, WA Gordon Truck Centers / Western Star Northwest location!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-road and customer on-site maintenance services by troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy duty equipment.
  • Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
  • Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the mobile service truck.

Requirements

  • Three years of actual truck repair experience needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and be insurable. CDL-A is a plus.
  • Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

  • Working in, under, and around trucks and trailers.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle, lift, push or pull objects of various shapes, sizes and weights, up to 100 pounds.
  • Safely walk, reach, bend, climb, push, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the essential job duties.
  • Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Use a telephone and computer.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
  • Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment dealership experience is helpful in this job role; two years or more preferred.

Benefits

Compensation based upon level of skill and experience, hourly compensation is $20.00 to $50.00. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available. Pay

Hourly compensation is $20.00 to $50.00.

Schedule

Work schedule and shifts will vary depending on business needs. We can accommodate a wide range of shifts and schedules.
