Mobile Diesel Mechanic / Field Diesel Technician - Pacific, WA

Responsibilities
- Conduct on-road and customer on-site maintenance services by troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy duty equipment.
- Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
- Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
- Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the mobile service truck.
Requirements
- Three years of actual truck repair experience needed.
- Valid driver’s license and be insurable. CDL-A is a plus.
- Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain.
- A full complement of tools required for diesel equipment repair including wrenches and sockets to 1 ¼”, 3/8” and ½” drive air tools, floor creeper and a roll around tool cabinet.
Qualifications
- Working in, under, and around trucks and trailers.
- Ability to drive a vehicle, lift, push or pull objects of various shapes, sizes and weights, up to 100 pounds.
- Safely walk, reach, bend, climb, push, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the essential job duties.
- Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Use a telephone and computer.
Skills
- Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
- Read schematics for electrical and air systems.
- Ability to determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.

Pay
Pay Range $20.00 - $50.00 per hour Based upon level of skill and experience. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available.
Schedule
Work schedule and shifts will vary depending on business needs. We can accommodate a wide range of shifts and schedules.
Environmental Demands
- Primarily outdoor work.
- High noise level.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
