Mobile Custodian

About the role

Mozaic (a chapter of NYSARC) is seeking a Mobile Custodian in Fulton, NY. This is a full-time position with a Monday - Friday schedule from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Work is performed on the road, starting at 7 Morrill Place, Fulton, NY 13069. Please note this job opportunity requires a documented disability as a requirement to meet compliance of our Federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized spaces by checking, cleaning, and restocking restrooms throughout assigned areas
• Sweep and mop floors to ensure a high standard of cleanliness
• Clean windows and dust surfaces such as desks, cabinets, and furniture
• Perform floor care using proper safety procedures and signage
• Manage waste by emptying receptacles, replacing liners as needed, and ensuring all recyclable materials are removed and disposed of appropriately
• Support monthly, semi-annual, or annual special projects based on site needs
• Properly maintain equipment and promptly report any malfunctions or concerns to Supervisor or Crew Leader
• Communicate any issues, complaints, or incidents in a timely manner
• Ensure all areas are left clean and secure, with no materials or equipment left behind after use
• Work overtime as needed to support team operations

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Driver's License required
• Ability to work productively when unsupervised
• Ability to stand and walk regularly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision
• Ability to work in conditions involving exposure to noise, dust, heat, fumes, and other elements that are continuously present to a disagreeable extent
• Must be able to provide required document of disability to meet contract requirements
