About the role
The Mobile Crisis Peer Support Specialist will work as part of the Emergency Services team. You will engage individuals in crisis, assist with service engagement, and develop individualized recovery plans. You will also advocate and promote self-care, illness-self management, wellness, and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Engage individuals in crisis
- Aid individuals in accessing services and supports
- Develop individualized recovery plans
- Advocate and promote self-care, illness-self management, wellness, and recovery
- May require providing transportation
Requirements
- Lived experience of mental illness & recovery, or certification as a Recovery Support Worker (CRSW)
- Experience working in a community mental health center, or as a peer specialist, and/or within a substance misuse treatment center
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to utilize technology provided for job requirements
- Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle liability coverage

Schedule
Local travel is a requirement of this position, so the candidate must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, proof of adequate vehicle liability coverage, and reliable transportation.
