About the Role

As a Mobile Branch Banking Specialist I, you are the face of the bank, building meaningful relationships while helping customers confidently manage their everyday financial needs. This front-line role blends exceptional customer service with financial expertise, ensuring each interaction is welcoming, efficient, and accurate. You will handle a variety of transactions while engaging customers in thoughtful conversations to understand their goals, answer questions, and recommend solutions that truly fit their needs. The mobile position travels to various branches to provide support as needed. Flexibility in schedule changes as various staffing needs arise are essential for the mobile position. Success in this role comes from your ability to listen, ask insightful questions, and create a positive experience that builds trust and long-term loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Handles customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, night deposits, settling and maintaining the ATM, balancing cash drawer.
  • Provides superior customer service through conversation to identify client needs, in person and over the phone.
  • Promotes the bank’s products and services through beneficial customer conversations to help the customer meet their financial needs.
  • Works closely with bank partners for client referrals to Merchant, Wye Financial, Commercial Relationship Managers, Branch Lenders.
  • Aids customers in managing and optimizing their bank accounts and other products.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
  • Performs as a team member in allocating and coordinating the workflow.
  • Contributes to the fulfillment of branch and company objectives and goals.
  • Represents the Bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with all customers, potential customers, and co-workers.
  • Demonstrates compliance awareness by completing all required regulatory and compliance training (e.g., BSA, CRA, ECOA) on or before deadlines, and actively supporting all policies, procedures, and practices that promote risk management, safety, and regulatory adherence.
  • Consistently demonstrates the Company’s core values and principles through behaviors, actions, and decisions.

Location

Your work location will vary based on needs in the local region, providing the opportunity to support multiple communities while serving as the go-to support for clients. This is a floating position that will work a rotational schedule between branches in the Chesapeake North region based on branch needs. Branches include Edgewater, Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Severna Park, Crofton, Elkridge, Owings Mills, and Arbutus. Mileage reimbursement is provided less your normal commute from your home to the West Street Branch in Annapolis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
  • 1 year experience successfully providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities daily.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with customer information.
  • Proficient computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook desired.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Work Environment

This job operates in a branch office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and multifunction printer/scanner/copier devices. In addition to standard office equipment, this role also uses cash and coin counters and, in some cases, a teller cash recycler. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the office or branch environment for extended periods; perform routine office tasks; communicate effectively; interact with customers and team members; and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Frequent use of standard office equipment and extended periods of viewing computer screens and reviewing detailed information are required. The role also requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend, stoop, and lift or carry materials, including up to 50 pounds of bulk coin/currency. Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $23.00 hourly. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Schedule

Full-time, non-exempt. Days of work: Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays (Closed Sundays and all Federal Holidays).
