About the role

Behavioral Health Connections (BHC) in Houston, TX is seeking a dynamic and talented Mobile Assessor to join the team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. This full-time position works Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 PM–3:30 AM, covering all zones. The Mobile Assessor provides mental health assessments for contracted emergency rooms and/or hospitals, recommends the appropriate level of treatment based on risk factors, and triages patients to appropriate services.

Responsibilities

  • Crisis intervention
  • Mental health assessment
  • Counseling and referral services
  • Completion of Memorandum of Transfer

Requirements

  • Degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or related field
  • Current state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current CPR certification, if required by a customer hospital
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Completion of appropriate internship, including provision of individual, group, or family therapy/counseling
  • Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy/counseling
  • Mobile assessment experience preferred
