ML Summer School ELEMENTARY Student Intern
About the role
The Springfield Public Schools are seeking a Student Intern for the ML Summer School program. This position is funded by Title III and will be located at Lincoln Elementary School. The schedule is from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, July 6, 2026 - July 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers and students in all classroom activities.
- Aid in the thematic implementation approach.
- Distribute student materials in the classroom.
- Perform breakfast and lunch duty in the cafeteria with assigned classes.
- Assume morning and afternoon bus duty as assigned by coordinators.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a 2-4 year college/university or program of advanced studies (e.g., trade school).
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and teachers.
- Committed to attending the summer program dates.
- Experience working with students in Grades 1-4 (preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (HiSet).
