Summary

To safely and efficiently perform Mixing/Milling operations utilizing multiple mechanical equipment to pre-form high consistency silicone rubber to desired customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all safety equipment is readily available and that all guards are in place.
  • Read batch cards/electronic device for directions, such as proper amounts, temperature controls, weights and sequences of extrusion, and any other additional instructions.
  • Operate (safely) multiple Mixers/Mills and related equipment.
  • Update and maintain production records on batches extruded.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner, especially during shift transition.
  • Learn and understand basic customer requirements and the equipment and materials used in extrusion, packaging, and finishing.
  • Receive and relay vital communications with co-workers concerning daily production strategies.
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to read and follow production instructions.
  • Perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately.
  • Demonstrated basic writing skills necessary to complete daily production records.
  • Demonstrated basic verbal communication skills necessary to transfer or interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and speak English.
  • Able to work independently and multi-task.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) and a criminal background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work experience in a manufacturing setting

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb, twist, turn, grasp, and move about the facility.
  • Walking, walking on irregular surfaces, and balancing is required.
  • Hearing, sight to include depth perception and color vision, and the ability to speak clearly will be required.
  • Occasional lifting, moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to comply with PPE requirements (ability to pass a fit-test and wear a respirator is required for certain positions/locations).
  • The environment for this position is a Manufacturing setting, with exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noise.

Pay

  • Starting pay: $24.55/hour + $2 shift premium
  • Increases at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year
