Mixing & Batching Technician - Night
About the Role
This is a high-paced position responsible for operating grinders, mixers, sifters, and other equipment in the department. The Mixing & Batching Technician supports the Area Lead and performs a variety of duties to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Area Lead in preparation for shift change
- Perform at least 50% or more of the Area Lead’s responsibilities
- Follow batch sheets and weigh out ingredients accurately
- Operate mixers, meat grinders, and other department equipment
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Clean and assemble equipment
- Promote teamwork and collaborate with colleagues
- Work safely by adhering to all safety standards and procedures
- Attend daily trainings
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required
Requirements
- Desire and willingness to learn
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours
- Maintain proper hygiene
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
