Responsibilities
- Create forms used to build precast concrete sections (e.g. walls, beams, columns, stairs, etc.)
- Install rebar, plates, mesh, and foam insulation
- Form concrete using screed boards, vibrators, and trowels
- Use hand tools, and power tools (drills, saws, tie guns, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read tape measure, and blueprints
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to operate machinery safely
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Troubleshooting skills

- Typical industrial hazards (varying climates, dust, noise, and moving machinery)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of ready-mix concrete products (frequently lifts, carries, and attaches onto flop chute extension chutes weighing more than 40 pounds)
- Vehicle maintenance: pre trip and post trip vehicle safety inspection, completion of inspection reports required daily, check all vehicle fluid levels daily and add fluids if necessary, climb ladder to rinse hopper and check the slump of the load multiple times daily, keep vehicle clean inside the cab, inside the drum, and the exterior of equipment using proper washing down procedures, keep outside of vehicle free of concrete build-up using corrosives and brushes at end of and throughout each shift
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent defensive driving skills
- The ability to clean all areas on vehicle, climb ladder to inspect loads of ready mix concrete, and hang mixer chutes
- Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management
- Must be a self-starter that is organized and able to follow through
Work Environment
- Drivers work outdoors most of the time
- Weather conditions such as temperatures, moisture, and other conditions have a significant impact on the job
- Therefore, drivers must tolerate, with or without reasonable accommodation, being exposed frequently to extreme weather conditions
