About the role
We are seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian with experience or interest in equine care, surgery, and general practice. This position offers a diverse caseload, including small animals, large animals, and equine patients, allowing you to expand your expertise and provide care across a wide range of species.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for a variety of species, including small animals, large animals, and equine patients.
- Perform surgeries and other advanced procedures as needed.
- Conduct routine check-ups and vaccinations.
- Handle emergencies and provide urgent care as necessary.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education programs.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Nebraska.
- Experience in mixed animal practice, including small animals, large animals, and equine care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE).
- At least one year of post-graduate experience preferred.
- Experience with digital x-ray, diagnostic lab machines, ultrasound, gas anesthesia, and ProVet Cloud-based software.
- Knowledge of VetScan imaging and ProVet Cloud-based software.
- Experience with large and small animal ultrasound.
