SERVPRO of Sullivan, Montour and Columbia Counties is looking for a Restoration Technician who is dependable, hardworking, and ready to work in challenging situations. This is a hands-on job where every day can be different. You’ll be working alongside a team to get homes and businesses back to normal. Duties Perform hands-on restoration work including demolition, cleaning, removal of damaged materials, and other physically demanding tasks.Load and unload work vehicles with the tools, equipment, products and supplies needed for each job.Keep the vehicle, tools and equipment clean, organized, and ready to go.Set up equipment, containment, staging areas, and other materials needed to complete the work safely and efficiently.Communicate with the Restoration Supervisor and other technicians to keep the job moving and make sure work is completed correctly.Clean up and break down the jobsite at the end of each day and when the job is complete. Leave every jobsite clean, safe, and organized. Skills / Physical Demands / Competencies Great communication skillsBasic math and computer skillsAbility to regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistanceAbility to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces, such as crawl spaces and atticsAbility to repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objectsAbility to work with and around cleaning agentsIICRC certifications preferred The Right Person Is Comfortable doing physical, hands-on workDependable and willing to work hardAble to communicate well with customers and coworkersComfortable working in dirty, damaged, or difficult environmentsAble to handle multiple tasks and stay organizedA team player who takes pride in doing the job rightWilling to work a flexible schedule, including mandatory overtime and on-call shiftsAble to pass a background checkHas a valid driver’s license You’ll make a difference every day by helping people through some of the toughest situations they may face.
