Mitigation Restoration Lead Technician
About the Role
The Lead Technician manages disaster response and crisis management activities related to water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and biohazard cleanup. This role works directly with customers to explain the restoration process, assess the scope of work, and lead technicians on job sites. The Lead Technician supervises, develops, and mentors team members to ensure high-quality service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Communicate the restoration process clearly to customers
- Provide daily updates to insurance partners and centers of influence
- Assess job severity and evaluate the extent of damages
- Understand and promote the company’s operational systems, including:
- Company CRM
- Xactimate
- Mitigate
- Train new employees on technician responsibilities and company procedures
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times
- Wear the company-provided uniform as required
- Foster a strong team culture among field operations staff and across the organization
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures and standards
- Understand and adhere to restoration procedures, including:
- Water damage restoration procedures
- Mold remediation equipment and procedures
- Fire and smoke cleaning tools and procedures
- Carpet cleaning equipment and procedures
- Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented, can-do attitude at all times
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time while delivering excellent customer service
- Maintain all equipment and vehicles in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition
- Remain available for emergency response work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of field experience
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification required
- One of the following certifications:
- IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)
- IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
- Possess a valid driver’s license and safely operate company vehicles
- Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work for extended periods in both large and confined spaces
- Wear appropriate respirator equipment for extended periods
- Pass a respirator fit test and medical evaluation

Pay
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
