What You'll Do
- Lead mitigation crews on residential and commercial restoration projects.
- Retrieve work orders and ensure trucks are stocked with the proper equipment and materials.
- Perform water extraction, demolition, structural drying, and other mitigation services.
- Maintain quality control on every project and ensure company standards are met.
- Explain the restoration process and next steps to homeowners and commercial clients.
- Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters, property managers, and customers.
- Obtain customer approvals, signatures, and collect payments when required.
- Train and mentor technicians while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed on every job.
- Communicate daily job progress and any customer concerns with office staff and management.
- Aid in emergency after-hours response as part of the on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in water, fire, mold, or disaster restoration.
- Leadership or crew management experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable using tablets and mobile software for documentation.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Xactimate is a plus but not required.
Preferred Certifications
- IICRC WRT – Water Damage Restoration Technician
- IICRC ASD – Applied Structural Drying
- IICRC FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician
- IICRC OCT – Odor Control Technician
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and move up to 70 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, crawl, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Work in residential, commercial, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Wear personal protective equipment, including respirators, when required.
- Respond to emergency situations during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
