Responsibilities
- Carry out on-site inspections for water, mold, and fire losses
- Create detailed mitigation and demolition estimates using Xactimate
- Determine scope based on category/class of loss and industry best practices
- Present estimates, documentation, photos, and reports
- Effectively communicate with adjusters, property managers, and homeowners
- Support operations with scope clarification and change orders
- Aid with moisture mapping, documentation, and job file compliance
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for testing (asbestos, mold, lead, etc.)
- Guarantee estimates comply with carrier guidelines and company standards
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year+ experience estimating mitigation/restoration work
- Strong working knowledge of Xactimate (required)
- Understanding of water categories, drying principles, and mold protocols
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes and adjuster communication
- Ability to read moisture data and field documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT) preferred
- Experience with large-loss or commercial claims
- Familiarity with SERVPRO systems and standards
