About the role

This position provides authoritative guidance and expert technical advice in a variety of mission support functional areas for a Field Office, large Port of Entry, or Headquarters Directorate.

Responsibilities

  • Leading initiatives to streamline and improve administrative operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluating program performance and identifying opportunities for process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supporting management by delivering data-driven insights and actionable recommendations for program improvements.
  • Designing and implementing innovative solutions to address organizational challenges and optimize service delivery.
  • Facilitating communication and coordination among teams to support the successful execution of mission support activities.

Requirements

You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.

Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service.

Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years (additional details below).

Qualifications

You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

  • Providing guidance in a variety of mission support functional areas.
  • Analyzing results and recommending changes including those to current processes and/or long-standing policies.
  • Participating in and making contributions to management decisions in assigned program areas.
  • Assisting in developing new or modified administrative program work methods, approaches, or procedures for delivering effective services to customers.

Pay

The starting salary for this position is $101,375.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $131,790.00 (GS-12, Step 10).
