Construction Support Specialist

The Construction Support Specialist will support various construction projects directly from the on‑site field trailer, serving as the central hub for the field crew and bridging the gap between the job site and corporate office.

Responsibilities

  • HR & Onboarding Coordination: Assist new hires on‑site with onboarding paperwork, I‑9 forms, and pre‑employment drug screens; manage site access requirements such as badging, background checks, and security clearance; update employee personal information; notify corporate HR of new hires or terminations; act as liaison for policy and benefit questions.
  • IT & Equipment Support: Provide first‑line support for jobsite hardware and software (tablets, printers, laptops, timekeeping devices, phones, network connectivity); coordinate equipment setup and return for new and departing employees; work with corporate IT to resolve larger hardware or network issues.
  • Safety: Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory; coordinate with corporate safety to maintain jobsite certification and training records.
  • Administrative and Project Support: Support talent team and staffing partners with recruiting logistics; handle meeting logistics, craft housing, jobsite events, and other out‑of‑town project needs; maintain office equipment, supplies, and a clean work environment; assist PE/PM/Superintendent on miscellaneous projects.

Work Environment

This position works in a jobsite environment, typically a field trailer, with exposure to dust, noise, and fluctuating outdoor temperatures.

Travel

Extensive travel is required, with the ability to live away from home for extended periods (typically 3 to 6 months per project) to support active jobsites across the United States.

Schedule

The role follows a standard full‑time schedule, but additional hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines. Flexibility to work non‑typical days and irregular hours is required due to construction‑related demands.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
  • 3+ years of administrative experience, with at least 1 year in construction preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Comfortable working in a construction environment (field trailer, dust, noise, temperature variations)
  • Reliable transportation to the workplace
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
