Mission, Planning & Execution Intern
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
This Mission, Planning, and Execution (MP&E) intern will support the MP&E Team by assisting with basic planning, coordination, and documentation for hypersonic test activities. This internship is designed for students or early-career individuals interested in gaining exposure to mission planning, test execution processes, and technical coordination in an aerospace environment. This position includes working closely with the MP&E team to assess mission requirements compliance, manage schedules, support data reviews, and provide the documentation necessary for multiple launches and campaigns per year between multiple launch providers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Support the MP&E team in the following ways:
- Aid in preparing test documentation, including Test Director checklists, Execution Calendars, Operations Schedules, Test Information Sheets, Test Constraints Document, Go/No-Go Criteria, etc.
- Coordinate incremental reviews and regular planning meetings.
- Send meeting invites and maintain distribution lists.
- Attend meetings and capture action items.
- Actively manage the completion of delegated tasks and updated documentation.
- Assist with adjudicating and reconciling technical and operational issues.
- Afford assistance in identifying and calling attention to potential conflicts in availability, readiness, and configurations.
- Assist with mission design, strategic planning, and verification of performance predictions for current and future launch campaigns.
- Assist with Technical Operation Display Dashboard (TODD) software development.
- Coordinate the Prime deployment roster.
- Document and disseminate deployment guidelines and shore support packages.

- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Office environment.
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
