Internship - Mission Management - Fall 2026
About the role
Firefly Aerospace is an end-to-end responsive space transportation company aiming to enable global space operations. Based in North Austin, Texas, we seek innovative individuals for our engineering-focused internships. Positions are available for both current undergraduates and recent graduates.
Responsibilities
- Support mission managers with mission design, manifest alignment, and program execution tasks
- Aid in customer relations and milestone reviews
- Develop program execution plans and strategy plans
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program (or a recent graduate) at an accredited university or college
- Willing to work in a hands-on, evolving environment
- Detail-oriented, managing multiple priorities while focusing on a common goal
- Excellent customer service skills, presentation skills, and public speaking abilities
- Experience working with and managing a cross-functional team with conflicting priorities
Desired Candidates
- Preferred focus in 3D CAD, preferably Siemens NX experience
- Demonstrated program management and leadership skills
- Business development/sales experience
- Demonstrated interest or exposure to aerospace systems engineering
- Eager to identify areas for process improvement and tool development
