Job Purpose
The Mission Integration Technician provides support in areas such as integration / de-integration, R&D projects, mockups etc. while maintaining excellent customer support.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service while working with customers during integration and continued integration support
- Work with Project Mangers, Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure modifications and installations are carried out in accordance with documentation and meets customers’ requirements
- Necessary parts are ordered for assigned project
- Use creative thinking to solve problems and come up with solutions
- Follow proper aircraft procedures when installing mission equipment and modifications
- Understand and apply FAA and AED regulations and standards
- Understand and follow proper DCMA procedures at all times
- Ensure all mission mod parts are properly tagged and documents
- Organize work packets and ensure all parts certificates and other paperwork are maintained in an orderly fashion
- Affirm all work is properly documented in work packets and signed off properly in a timely fashion
- Assist leads and project managers in implementing process improvements
- Maintain clean and orderly department and work area
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Airframe & Powerplant license required
- Manage time to effectively meet company priorities
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with A&P Mechanics, Inspectors, Pilots, and Engineers to maintain and modify aircraft
- Ability to perform maintenance duties utilizing basic hand tools
- Proven technical/mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, especially their design, uses, repair and maintenance
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and use manuals to determine effective solution
- Manage time to effectively meet company priorities
- Ability to: lift, balance, and carry 50 lbs, crawl in and out of tight spaces, and predominantly work in enclosed hangars, occasionally in exterior weather conditions or elevated heights
