About the Role

The Project Manager serves as the single point of contact for customers throughout the entire project lifecycle—from order acceptance and engineering to manufacturing, quality assurance, financial tracking, and shipping. This role demands strong leadership and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments, including Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Shipping, and Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications with customers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate with Engineering during the design phase, ensuring adherence to deadlines and resolving outstanding issues.
  • Review customer drawings and specifications to initiate internal and external change orders.
  • Collaborate with Production Scheduling to track progress toward completion dates and meet project milestones.
  • Communicate with Shipping to confirm delivery timelines and coordinate contractor arrivals for installation.
  • Issue RFIs to customers and gather all necessary information for Engineering.
  • Resolve shortage issues, quality concerns, and other project-related challenges during on-site installation.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency.
  • Manage and drive resolution of all project-related issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in industrial or commercial project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Basic knowledge of bolted and welded steel tanks; experience with municipal, industrial, and commercial projects preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office within a manufacturing plant, with exposure to noise, dust, and typical industrial hazards. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with occasional overtime required. Hours may vary at management’s discretion with prior notice.
