Ministry Assistant (Spring Valley Corps)

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development, planning, and execution of various programs, including social and evangelistic ministry, summer youth ministries, after-school programs, and public relations events.
• Lead or assist in leadership roles at events, such as promoting, registering, and transporting participants for events.
• Engage in worship, praise, prayer, and evangelism services, including teaching Sunday School classes, leading or assisting with Bible studies, and participating in fellowship programs.
• Assist with social service administration, including overseeing donations, managing program utilization, and maintaining statistics.
• Support general Corps operations and perform special projects as assigned.
• Participate in training and development to prepare for future leadership positions within The Salvation Army.
• Communicate effectively with Corps Officers, staff, clients, Advisory Board members, volunteers, donors, community leaders, and others.
• Provide weekly transportation for Corps groups to GNY divisional music and arts programs.

Qualifications

• Must be a uniformed Salvationist in good standing.
• Must uphold biblical standards in personal and professional life, including financial support of the Corps ministry.
• Must conduct oneself in a manner that reflects credit on The Salvation Army, its leadership, and on the Lord Jesus.
• Must have an understanding of and appreciation for The Salvation Army's Mission.
