Minister of Worship

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and provide vision for the Contemporary Worship Ministry.
• Cookordinate and provide leadership for the church’s broader musical worship ministry, including the Traditional Service.
• Recruit, develop, disciple, and encourage worship team members, musicians, and vocalists.
• Build healthy, effective worship teams and develop emerging worship leaders.
• Collaborate with pastors and ministry staff to plan meaningful, Christ-centered worship services.
• Select and arrange music that is biblically sound, theologically rich, and appropriate for the congregation.
• Help cultivate a culture that prioritizes Jesus over performance, discipleship over platform, and biblical truth over cultural trends.
• Support the overall mission, vision, and discipleship priorities of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Who We're Looking For

• A spiritually mature Christian leader with a clear calling to worship ministry and a passion for leading others toward Christ.
• Hold theological convictions consistent with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
• A minimum of five years of full-time worship ministry or worship leadership experience.
• A four-year college or seminary degree in Music, Worship Ministry, Music Education, or a related field, or equivalent ministry training and experience.
• Strong musical and vocal leadership abilities.
• Excellent relational, communication, and organizational skills.
• A proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead volunteers.
• Comfortable leading in both contemporary and traditional worship environments.
• Demonstrate humility, spiritual maturity, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach to ministry.
• Possess working knowledge of Worship Tech including Audio and Video.
