About the role

Mosaic is seeking a Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern for summer 2027 at the Four Corners Facility in Bradley, FL and/or the South Fort Meade Facility in Fort Meade, FL. Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Learn all aspects of working at a site including Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Mapping and more.
  • Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
  • Participate in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
  • Adhere to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

Requirements

  • Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Mining Engineering.
  • 2.75 GPA or higher.
  • Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
  • Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Experience working in a team environment is a must.
  • Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.
  • Effective verbal communication skills is a plus.

Skills

  • Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.

Benefits

  • Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.

Pay

  • Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week.
  • In person. 9/80 schedule if applicable.

Schedule

  • Term May 10th, 2027 to August 20th, 2027.
