Environmental Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2027

What You’ll Do

• Work cross-functionally within the organization to support the company’s ESG targets while reviewing all aspects related to permitting projects.
• Working with the various subject matter expert consultants, legal counsel, the preparation of permit applications, and on-site inspections and support of the operations staff.
• Conducts facility environmental testing and sampling in accordance with strict regulatory and company procedures and permit drive schedules.
• Troubleshoots and manages environmental field sampling data using electronic database.
• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.

What You’ll Need

• Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Environmental Engineering.
• 2.75 GPA or higher.
• Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
• Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship.
