Responsibilities
- Taking accurate inventory of all in room mini bars, posting appropriate charges to the guest room bill, cleaning and defrosting the mini bars.
- Maintaining, stocking inventory and ordering inventory from the storeroom.
- Checking and keeping track of the items that will be expired in one month.
- Cleaning and wiping down the mini-bar.
- Cleaning the refrigerator once every 3 months.
- Cleaning the mini-bar snack tray once every 2 months.
- Checking the temperature of the refrigerator to ensure it's working properly.
- Restocking and inventory of refreshment center inventory.
- Accurately charging guest folios.
- Completing assigned paperwork in a timely manner.
- Completing work orders on any deficiencies found in the guest room.
- Keeping guest room secure at all times.
- Clearing soiled In Room Dining Trays from rooms to elevator landing.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- Previous experience in similar position of 3 months or longer.
- Knowledge of ordering procedures and safe food handling processes.
- Experience dealing directly with the public and basic customer service skills.
- Competence in oral and written English.
- Ability to read and process written communications and paperwork.
- High school graduate level mathematical aptitude.
- Manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
- Bending/kneeling ability to bend to lower level cabinets and lift trays.
- Continuous standing required to service guest functions.
- Ability to climb approximately 12 steps 20% of the time.
- Comprehension and literacy to read and use records and special requests.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks.
- Ability to deal with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
