Mineral Processing Specialist
Your Impact in This Role:
- Research process design for existing and new mineral processes taking into account all fields of extractive metallurgy: comminution, sizing, concentration, froth flotation, magnetic and electrostatic separation, and dewatering systems.
- Assess and recommend the applicability of emerging and established mineral separation technologies, with particular attention to flotation and physico-chemical separation methods.
- Plan, coordinate, and critically evaluate laboratory-, pilot-, and plant-scale testing programs, including internal and third-party test work.
- Perform process simulations, calculations, and sensitivity analyses to support process development, optimization, and scale-up.
- Prepare and reconcile mass and water balances for existing and proposed circuits; conduct process audits and performance reviews.
- Develop conceptual and preliminary process flowsheets for new or optimized circuits, including selection and specification of key equipment.
- Provide process engineering support for layouts, drawings, P&IDs, and interfaces with process control and automation systems.
