Job Responsibilities
- Gather information for potential data analytics use cases.
- Analyze and target high-value areas for improvement.
- Assess the business value of and facilitate selections of improvement focus areas.
- Provide data analysis and run economic impact analysis projects.
- Share data analytics with operational teams and facilitate problem solving, root cause analysis, and development of implementation plans.
- Monitor key metrics and/or develop data collection systems to track overall performance.
- Provide liaison between operations and data developers, provide input for modifications of data sources, and resolution of data quality issues.
- Provide site managers with technical support and project management.
- Provide training and support on analytics to others.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in mining.
- Valid driver’s license.
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Etc).
- Proficient in drafting (AutoCAD).
- Knowledgeable in database (Pi, MS SQP Server, Access, Acquire).
- Proficient in AS400 or similar mining database.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong data management skills.

Environmental Conditions, Physical & Lifting Requirements
- Regularly required to use a computer/tablet;
- Rarely required to use a phone/radio;
- Frequently work in an office environment;
- Frequently work underground;
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts;
- May be exposed to moderate noise levels;
- Required to wear PPE when underground;
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time;
- Occasionally required to use repetitive motion and reach with hands/arms;
- Requires clarity of vision and three-dimensional vision;
- Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
