Responsibilities
- Removal, repair and installation of electrical components
- Analyzing and diagnosing electrical systems
- Advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization
- Mentoring or training other electrical workers
- Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction
- Performing preventative maintenance including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment
- Managing AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, management control systems, calibration of field transmitters/transducers and weigh scales, and low and medium voltage equipment
- Complying with regulatory agency standards
- Fulfilling Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participating in safety and environmental activities
Requirements
- Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical and/or Instrumentation Program, or minimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance
- Associate's degree or Trade School Certification in a related field and two (2) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance
- Strong knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, management control systems, calibration of field transmitters/transducers and weigh scales, and low and medium voltage equipment
- Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment, including reading, understanding, and applying information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company
- Minimum personal tools as described by the department tool list or ability to obtain them within 90 days of hire date
- Completion of academic and practical competencies required (including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and demonstration of required aptitude
- The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with VFDs, PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA Control Systems
- Experience working with low and medium voltages
- Experience with AC and/or DC controls
- Experience with instrumentation devices
- Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment
- Experience with HVAC equipment
Benefits
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $33.00 - $45.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.
