Min Nan Chinese Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Serve as interpreter for People with Limited English Proficiency in various social services settings.
• Provide consecutive interpretation between English and Min Nan Chinese.
• Listen to complete statements in one language, translate to the second language, and translate responses from the second language back into the first.
• Provide either approximate or exact translation depending on the nature of the occasion.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in interpreting settings.
• Job types: Contract, Part-time, Freelance.

Skills

• Fluency in both Min Nan Chinese and English.
• Ability to read and write both languages.
• Strong listening skills.
