Mnong Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring bilingual Mnong-English phone interpreters to work remotely from their homes. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally
• Render accurate translations of conversations between Mnong and English speakers
• Adapt to various industries including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law
• Ensure confidentiality and respect cultural differences
• Work flexible hours to fit around client needs
• Provide support through the Interpreter and Technology Help Desks

Requirements

• Fluency in Mnong and English
• Cultural competency and regional accent awareness
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
• Ability to handle sensitive topics and emergencies
• At least 18 years old
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write both languages (preferred)

Qualifications

• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred
• Adaptable to LLS technology enhancements
• Access to a quiet, suitable workspace
• Physical ability to operate a keyboard and mouse

• Technical proficiency with company-provided software

Pay

$1.00 - $1.05 per minute
