Millwright/Utility Repair Person

About the role

Carroll Concrete is a leading concrete supplier in New England, part of CRH, a major player in the North American market for asphalt, aggregates, cement, ready-mix concrete, and paving and construction services. This position offers a starting salary of $25.00 per hour, with potential for annual increases based on experience. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and machinery.
• Occasional overnight shifts and travel required for work at different Ready Mix Concrete plants.
• Installation, maintenance, and repair work on bin gate systems and turrets.
• Precision fabrication and welding on metal structures and inside aggregate bins.
• Aid in training new personnel on proper operation and maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
• Assist with troubleshooting basic electrical and plumbing issues.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques, specifically stick welding and some mig work. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug test. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
