Millwright Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
- Safely work in a complex mechanical facility processing large quantities of flammable materials
- Participate in behavior based safety process
- Follow standard procedure to ensure safety, environmental compliance and high quality work
- Measure mechanical parameters, compare to standards and return equipment to meet standards
- Record key measurements to facilitate analysis of failures and development of improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot operational problems associated with rotating equipment
- Remove and install equipment, including alignment and testing to ensure proper operation
- Work successfully in a team-oriented environment to accomplish daily work activities
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems to increase plant availability
- Identify appropriate spare parts for equipment
- Interpret drawings, P&ID’s, manuals
- Precision assembly of complex gearboxes, pumps, compressors, blowers, airlocks, centrifuges and specialized extruding equipment
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or equivalency is required, with 3 – 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment, preferably in a polymer plant.
