Job Summary IMI is seeking a full-time Millwright Foreman local to the Watkinsville, GA area. Essential Functions Successfully complete Industrial Mechanical, Inc.’s Foreman training. Provide leadership that result in a safe, positive, and respectful work culture. Function as the on-site Quality Lead as required to support the IMI Quality Management System. Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in dismantling, moving, assembling, and installing industrial machinery to ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and timelyAbility to serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projects. Effective communication skills, especially with respect to directing others. Inspects quality of all work to ensure company standards and project specifications are met. Assists workers in their performance of assigned duties. Analyze and resolve work related problems. Reviews materials received at jobsite to ensure it is correct and not defective. Checks equipment to ensure proper working conditionsMaintains time and track production. Ability to communicate with Project Managers and General Foremen about establishing and adjusting work sequences to meet schedulesAbility to multitask and manage multiple employees and projects at once. Ensure that all initial safety and hazard assessments (JHA’s and Worksite Safety Inspections) required by Industrial Mechanical, Inc. and our customers are completed before work begins. Perform competency assessments of subordinate employeesWorks with Leadership to develop training plans and coaches to ensure that crews meet required levels of quality Education And Experience 3+ years' experienceNCCER or AWS certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school is preferred Work Environment/Physical Demands *Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the jobMust be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of timeUse arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objectsLift or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistanceMust be able to work indoors and outdoors, including times of inclement weatherManual dexterity is needed for repetitive tasks and to operate standard operating equipmentAbility to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair workMust be highly safety cautious and have ability to see and escape from dangerous situationsAbility to climb a ladder and step into various pieces of equipmentGood physical fitness, eye-hand coordination, and ability to quickly respond to soundsGood sense of balance and ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spacesAbility to wear PPE correctly for working shifts Benefits All IMI Full-Time employees can enjoy the following benefits: major medical plans, life insurance, short & long-term disability insurance options, a robust company matched 401k, and PTO plans.
